“Part leadership manual, part rallying cry, and part reminder that ADHD difference isn’t a deficit – it’s a competitive advantage and exactly what the future of leadership needs.”
Built on more than two hundred conversations with ADHD leadersWired to Lead makes the case that what gets pathologised as deficit is actually, in the right context, an advantage.
Coming late 2026.
THE WHY
The narrative around ADHD has always been one of deficit.
Can’t focus.
Can’t follow through.
Too much.
Too intense.
Too chaotic for conventional structures.
But here’s what two hundred conversations taught me: the people who are reshaping industries, driving innovation, holding space for complexity are ADHDers. And in disproportionate numbers.
And these leaders aren’t succeeding despite it. They’re succeeding because of how their brains work, when they’ve found the right context, built the right structures, and stopped trying to be a neurotypical version of themselves.
Wired to Lead is the research-backed, story-rich, no-bullshit argument that ADHD difference is a leadership advantage. And that it’s time to stop hiding it.
“Wired to Lead is less a book than a reckoning. Brown has masterfully woven a tapestry of story, science and courageous systems interrogation that leaps off the page with clarity and precision. The result is both a mirror and map. A mirror for ADHD-ers who have spent a lifetime feeling like a problem to be solved, more than a person to be known, and a map for those privileged to live and work alongside them. Brown doesn’t simply explain or defend ADHD, she exposes the systems that have misunderstood it and invites us into a compassionate and undeniably evidence-based alternative. Wired To Lead raises the bar for rigour, responsibility and what truly inclusive leadership can look like.”

WE’RE WIRED TO LEAD
Three themes. Twelve Leadership Capabilities. One unmistakable message.

Part 1 walks readers through the cultural mythology of ADHD and systematically interrogates it.
It’s where we confront the story that’s been told about ADHD leaders for decades. And where we dismantle it.
By the final chapter, readers aren’t just seeing ADHD differently; they’re seeing leadership itself through a new lens.

Part 2 introduces the ADHD leader in full then moves through twelve distinct leadership capabilities grouped across four domains:
- Strategy and Vision
- Change and Uncertainty
- Trust and Influence
- People and Potential.
Each capability is grounded in neuroscience, named with precision, and brought to life through the stories of real leaders.

Part 3 brings everything together into the figure of the Complete Leader.
It gets honest about the conditions required to sustain that leadership. It covers what to watch out for, how to read whether an environment is safe enough for authentic ADHD leadership, and closes with both an invitation and a declaration.
ADHD leaders aren’t broken versions of the norm; they are wired to lead.
THE WIRED TO LEAD CAPABILITIES

HANNAH THE AUTHOR
I wrote this book because I needed it to exist.
I’m an ADHDer, I’ve led organisations, and for a long time I spent significant energy trying to lead in ways that didn’t fit how I’m wired. And I believed others when they told me I was “doing it wrong.”
So, I did the research, learned from more than 200 global leaders with ADHD, and then wrote a love letter to every ADHD leader who ever wondered if the problem was them.
