Meet Hannah, The Chief Idea Sparkler
Hannah was born and raised, and lives on Kaurna Country, with her wife Sam, and her labradoodles, Lenny and Hugo.
Locally educated and internationally trained, she’s an executive leader in the research, development and innovation sector with experience in public and private enterprise, in academia, industry and government.
Having trained and worked as an academic specialising in women’s health, she now enjoys the challenge of sitting at interface between science and the rest of society, helping to turn ideas into impact through relationships and partnerships with industry, end-users, and key stakeholders. She sees a key part of her role in the ecosystem as removing and breaking down barriers which would otherwise prevent turning new knowledge into action, and helping others to do the same.
She believes in the power of storytelling, and that creating clear and consistent narrative, engaging broadly with consumers, and embracing authenticity, integrity and humour are the keys to effective communication, and relationship building.
Over almost a decade, Hannah has consulted on a range of projects in the research/business strategy, strategic communications and diversity, equity and inclusion fields. She’s run workshops, scramble sessions and has given the odd keynote presentation.
She’s a big fan of the gnarly, hard projects where people don’t know where to begin. She’s great at making plans, and better at executing them.
If you think her credentials also matter, she has a Ph.D. (Medicine), an MBA (Business Strategy, Innovation, Diversity/Inclusion) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
